WASHINGTON, DC AREA AFRODESCENDANTS!! You are invited to the May 26th Washington-area planning meeting, 10AM to NOON; preparing for the 1ST World Summit of Afrodescendants (August 18-21 in HONDURAS; THEME: "Development, Sustainability, Identity").
In Washington, we meet Thursday, May 26, at Headquarters of PAHO - Pan-American Health Organization (PAHO-WHO)- 525 23rd Street, NW (FOGGY BOTTOM/Geo Wash Univ Metro). 10AM TO NOON.
The Summit in Honduras will take place within the framework of the 2011 "International Year of People of African Descent"/ (Afrodescendants) as proclaimed by the General Assembly of the United Nations, Resolution 64/169. Hope to see as many AFROAMERICAS MEMBERS as possible at the Washington meeting TOMORROW.
